Ubuntu 19.10 Released, Available to Download Now
Ubuntu 19.10 is the 31st version of Ubuntu to be released since 2006. It’s backed by 9 months of ongoing updates, and will be followed by Ubuntu 20.04 LTS ‘Focal Fossa’ in April of next year.

Change hostname in Ubuntu permanently:There are a few graphical utilities offer option to change the computer name depends on your running desktop environment.
The universal way is to edit the configuration file /etc/hostname:
1. Open terminal from application menu, and run command to edit the file:
sudo gedit /etc/hostname
You may replace gedit with nano for Ubuntu Server, or with other text editor for your DE.
When the file opens, replace the content with your new computer name.

Ubuntu 11.10 Beta Released
The first beta release of ubuntu 11.10 has been made available for download now. you can upgrade you ubuntu from 11.04 to 11.10. To upgrade from Ubuntu 11.04 on a desktop system, press Alt+F2 and type in "update-manager -d" (without the quotes) into the command box. Update Manager should open up and tell you: New distribution release '11.10' is available. Click Upgrade and follow the on-screen instructions.
